Why only the hair from the back of the head is useable? That's because the hair in this area is the strongest and most resistant to falling out. “What will happen on the day of surgery?”

This is a common question in mind when you are gathering information or when you are about to have a hair transplant surgery. You may feel confused or anxiety with a lot of questions, like “What should I do first?”, “Is it complicated?”, “Does it hurt?”, “How long will it take?”, “Why is it so long?”, “Who implants my hair?”, “Can I tell the doctor my desired hairstyle?”, etc. 

In this section, we are clarifying 4 key steps of “1 Day with Hair Transplantation” so that your doubts will be cleared up and you’ll be ready and comfortable to have a hair transplantation which helps you transform yourself into a new person delightfully.

Step 1 - Design a new hairline and facial frame

Duration: 30 – 45 minutes

Say goodbye to the Old You and welcome to the brighter beginning. Step 3 Remove the hair graft

Duration: 2-3 hours

It comes to the process of removing the hair grafts from the back of the head. This step takes quite a long time because it involves gradually removing the grafts one by one without invasive surgery. Instead, this process is performed using the tiny imported medical instrument, called an ‘implanter’ having a diameter of 0.6 mm only. You can be sure that the wounds are as tiny as the implanter needle. Throughout this process, the patient can lie down on the bed comfortably.

After completing the process of hair graft removal, the patient is allowed to take a break for 1 hour. The doctor will dissect and extract each hair graft as individual follicular units, and grouped, ensuring that they have the proper size and quality.

Step 4 Implant the new hair “Strand-by-Strand” 

Duration: 3-5 hours

It’s about time the doctor comes on stage. The expert doctor will gradually implant the hair one by one. Of course this process takes a little longer because it requires the extreme neatness and special attention. Anyway how long it will take depends on the number of hair grafts and the complexity of each patient's problem.

Upon completion of 1 day of hair transplantation, you will be given the useful and practical advice, precautions and guidance on hair and scalp care. These should be followed so that your new hair will be deeply and firmly rooted. Then the hair growth cycle will be recalled as perfectly as you expected.

The hair whorl rotation can indicate the direction of the hair whether it grows in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction, by observing the hair around the hair whorl and down to the forehead. You will see the hair root denoting the angle and direction of your hair. Another way to know the hair direction, you just put your hair to the left and right and notice yourself which one is easier and looks more natural.

The hair around the hair whorl grows without a certain direction. No matter how hard you try brushing your hair to cover it, it’s useless. Some people have 2-3 hair whorls, and sometimes they're in places they shouldn't be, like the front of the head, forehead or temples. This annoys you more and more until it becomes the loss of confidence.

A common problem that occurs at an early age is that the hair around the hair whorl gradually becomes thinner and wider until the beginning of hair thinning and baldness is noticed. “O” shape hair loss and thinning on the top of the head is the most common.
